We travel to Versailles crossing the western districts of Paris. Upon arriving at Versailles, we go on a guided tour of the King and Queen's reception halls before viewing the spectacular fountains and the Neptune pond. The fountain show is accompanied by Baroque style music which was particularly popular with the Versailles court at this period. The musical fountain display revives the reign of King Louis XIV. He ordered remarkable works in order to provide the fountains and the ponds with 1,333 gallons of water necessary for a one-hour fountain display.
