 This tour combines two main attractions near Paris. In the morning we visit Giverny, where Claude Monet settled here in 1883 and spent the rest of his life, inspired by the beautiful, peaceful and colorful countryside. We’ll stop at Monet's home where you’ll discover his studio and the places of his inspiration.
Our driver-guide will also provide you with the entrance ticket to the Museum of American Art. Inspired by the colony of American Impressionist artists who settled in Giverny near the house of Claude Monet, the Musée d’Art Américain Giverny showcases American art from 1750 to the present and regularly updating new exhibitions every year. The art collection is housed in the somber museum and integrated into the surrounding landscape. The building itself is a perfect blend of art and nature, staying true to Giverny’s Impressionist roots.
There will be free time for lunch in the village. Afterward, a pleasant drive through the countryside of the Seine Valley will take us to our next destination.
Versailles was built for Louis XIV to symbolize his power and the influence of France. It bears witness to the luxurious court and the artistic genius of the 17th and the 18th centuries. At Versailles, we’ll go on a guided visit to the Queen's Hamlet and to the gardens. Later on, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the State Apartments of the Palace on your own.
