Travel through Normandy as far as the Pointe du Hoc, well-known for the assault of the heroic Rangers. Free time to visit.
Then onto the American Cemetery in Colleville, for an emotional visit where 9386 soldiers are resting. In 2007 a new Visitor Center was created to commemorate the operations of June 6th 1944. You will also discover the bloody “Omaha Beach” and have time to spend some moments before lunch. Lunch with drinks is served at the “Ferme de la Rançonnière” (13th century) in the village of Crépon.
In the early afternoon, you will see the ruins of the Arromanches’ artificial harbour (built by the Allies in less than 15 days).
